What patching covers
Patching is the right call when something's leaking, cracked, or damaged but the rest of the home is sound. Instead of replacing the whole roof or every skirting panel, we fix the problem area so the home stays dry, warm, and structurally OK. Most patch jobs are a half day to a day of work.
- Roof patches (leaks, damaged shingles, flashing)
- Skirting patches (broken or missing panels)
- Wall patches (dents, holes, water damage)
- Floor patches (soft spots, rot fixes)
- Underbelly patches (torn belly board)
- Trim and siding patches
Pricing
| Type | Flat rate |
|---|---|
| Single patch job, small | Starting at $500 |
| Larger or multiple patches | Quoted onsite |
Final price depends on where the damage is, how big, and what material is needed. We're upfront, if a patch won't hold and a full replacement is the right call, we'll tell you and quote that instead.
When to patch vs replace
If the damage is localized and the surrounding material is sound, patching is faster and cheaper. If the damage is spread out, recurring, or the underlying material is failing, a full replacement holds longer and saves money over time. We'll tell you honestly at the assessment which one fits your situation.
Timeline
Most single patch jobs are done in a half day to a full day. Larger jobs or multiple patches get a day by day schedule in your written quote.
What can change the price
Location on the home (high roof work adds time and safety cost), size of the damaged area, whether material is in stock, and how much surrounding area needs to be opened up to do the patch right. Firm quote after the onsite look.
Common questions
Will a patch look obvious?
We color match and blend where we can. Perfectly invisible on faded or custom finishes isn't always possible, but a good patch is noticeable only if you're looking for it.
Is patching a permanent fix?
For isolated damage in sound surrounding material, yes, a good patch lasts as long as the rest of the home. For damage in failing material, a patch buys time but won't outlast a full replacement.
Do you patch during rainy season?
Roof patches need a dry window to bond properly. We watch the forecast and schedule around it. If water is actively coming in, we'll set a temporary cover so you're not waiting for perfect weather to stop the leak.
